Legal / Terms of Service
The ground rules.
Plain-language terms for a US consumer service. The short version: be 18 or older, only use photos you have permission to use, disclose that your video is AI-generated, and use it personally.

01Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Rocky Yang, an individual operating as Make Me Rap (“Make Me Rap”, “we”, “us”), which runs makemerap.com. By using the site or making a video, you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Make Me Rap.
02What Make Me Rap does
Our launch offer covers Naughty or Nice, Just One More, Whole Month, Dead Last and Not Me. Upload two photos for a duet or one photo for a solo or pet video to appear in a 15-second AI-generated music video. Choose from the listed outfits, scenes and recorded voice takes; your selected look guides the edit and your selected take is used for the video. Sample images illustrate the intended look and do not guarantee exact details or lip sync. Available order options and the price are shown before payment. Your photo never selects or clones a voice.
Make Me Rap is in beta. Ordering is available only when the song page offers it; a listed price on a preview-only page does not mean ordering is open. Availability depends on our generation services and capacity. Follow your order in My videos. We do not promise a delivery time.
03Adults only (18+)
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account, upload photos or order a video. Make Me Rap is not directed at children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete its photos and videos.
04Your account
You sign in using an available email or Google sign-in option. Keep your email inbox and any linked Google account secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account. We send service emails such as sign-in links or codes and video status updates when email delivery is available. You can delete your account at any time from your account page; that deletes your photos and videos as described in the Privacy Policy.
05Your photos: ownership and consent
You may upload a photo only if both of these are true:
- You have the right to use it. You took it, or its owner allows you to use it this way.
- Everyone in it agreed. It shows only you, other adults (18 or older) who have given you permission to make this video of them, or a pet that is yours or whose owner agrees.
Never upload photos of anyone under 18, celebrities, public figures, real musicians or other artists, or anyone who has not agreed. Before each upload you confirm that the photo is yours or used with consent; we keep that confirmation with your order. If a person in a video tells us they did not agree, we will remove it.
You keep ownership of your photos. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process and send them, including to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy, only to make and deliver your video, run safety checks, handle reports and meet legal duties. The license ends when the photos are deleted, except for copies we must keep for an open report or by law. We do not use your photos or videos to train AI models, and we do not use them in our marketing.
06AI-generated videos
Every Make Me Rap video is generated by AI models (listed on our AI models page). It is a made-up performance: the people or pet in your photos did not really sing, rap or do what the video shows. Results vary. A face may not look exactly like the photo, lips may drift from the words, and hands, text or backgrounds can come out wrong.
We identify videos as AI-generated on the site and order pages. The original MP4 does not have a label burned into it; clearly disclose that it is AI-generated when you share it. Never present it as real footage or as something a person actually said or did. The sample videos are AI-generated examples; they show the style, not a guaranteed result.
07What you may do with your video
As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to download, keep and share your video: with friends and family, in group chats, and on your own personal social media accounts.
You may not use a video, or the song in it, for advertising or sponsored posts, monetized or brand content, political messages, resale or licensing, merchandise, logos or trademarks, stock libraries, music streaming or fingerprinting services, or training AI models. You may not separate the song from the video. Our songs, lyrics, recordings, scenes, characters and designs stay ours; the license covers them only as part of your video.
AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright, so we do not promise that you or we hold a copyright in the finished video. The license ends for any video we remove under the Acceptable Use Policy.
08What is not allowed
The Acceptable Use Policy sets out the full rules. In short, you must not use Make Me Rap to:
- make a video of someone who did not agree, of anyone under 18, or of a celebrity, public figure or real artist;
- create sexual, nude or intimate content, or content that is violent, hateful, harassing, bullying or humiliating toward a real person;
- impersonate anyone, deceive people, spread false claims or pass a video off as real;
- upload photos that infringe someone else’s copyright, privacy or publicity rights, or add brands, logos or team marks;
- get around our safety checks, scrape the site, access other people’s data, or overload or attack the service.
09Safety checks, review and removal
Every uploaded photo goes through an automated safety check before it is accepted into private storage, and photos that fail are rejected. The appearance preview and finished video undergo automated safety and technical checks. Normal delivery does not wait for a person to approve it. Temporary check failures may be retried within a limited recovery window; a failed check is never treated as a pass. We may refuse to make a video, or remove one, if it breaks these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law, or if someone pictured objects.
Anyone can report a video or ask for their likeness to be removed on the report page. How we handle reports and what action we take is described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
10Prices, payments and refunds
Price and availability. The price per video is shown before you pay. You see a free appearance preview first. It is an illustration of the look, not a video preview or a guarantee of the final result. No full video is generated before payment is confirmed.
How you pay. Payments are processed by PayPal. You can pay with a PayPal account or, where PayPal offers it, with a debit or credit card without a PayPal account. PayPal’s own terms and privacy statement apply to the payment itself, and we never see or store your full card number or PayPal password. After the free appearance preview, you can pay to request the full video. We queue generation only after PayPal confirms payment. Once the video passes automated safety and technical checks, you can watch and download it privately from My videos.
Refunds. If we cannot complete your paid video, including when the required checks cannot be completed successfully, we automatically request a full refund through PayPal. Other refund requests go to support@makemerap.com and will be handled under the refund rules published here at the time of your order and applicable law. Refunds go back to the way you paid, through PayPal; how long they take depends on PayPal and your bank. Once a payment is refunded, the full-length downloads for that video are locked again.
Disputes and chargebacks. If something is wrong with a payment, please contact us first at support@makemerap.com; we can usually fix it faster than a dispute. You can also open a dispute with PayPal or a chargeback with your card issuer, and their rules apply to it. If a payment is reversed or refunded through a dispute or chargeback, the full-length video is locked again. We may refuse future orders from an account that files disputes in bad faith.
11Our content and your feedback
The site, the Make Me Rap name and design, our songs, lyrics, recordings, artwork and sample videos belong to us or our licensors. Do not copy, download or reuse them except as these Terms allow. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
12Copyright and likeness complaints
If a video uses your likeness without your consent, or a photo infringes your rights, use the report page or email support@makemerap.com.
Send copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) by email to support@makemerap.com. A notice should include: your physical or electronic signature; the work you believe is infringed; the material and where it appears; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We may forward notices to the person who uploaded the material, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
13Suspension and termination
You can stop using Make Me Rap and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, remove content or refuse service if you break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm. Where it is safe and lawful we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look again through our feedback form (choose “Other” and give your email so we can reply). Sections that by their nature should continue (for example licenses you gave us for open reports, disclaimers, limits of liability and governing law) survive termination.
14Disclaimers
Make Me Rap is a beta service provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a video will look like the people in your photos, or that it will be suitable for any purpose.
15Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Make Me Rap is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the video the claim relates to in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
16Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because you uploaded a photo without the right or consent to use it, or because of how you used a video, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
17Governing law and disputes
These Terms are subject to the applicable laws of the United States, including applicable federal and state law. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. Please send dispute notices by email to support@makemerap.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. This does not prevent you from meeting a legal deadline or seeking urgent relief. An unresolved dispute may be brought in a court with jurisdiction; these Terms do not designate an exclusive state or court.
18Changes to these Terms
We will update these Terms as the service changes, including when our payment or generation services change. For material changes we will give at least 15 days’ notice by email or on the site, unless a faster change is needed for legal or safety reasons. Using Make Me Rap after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
19Contact
Questions about these Terms: send us a message through our feedback form. Copyright notices and likeness complaints go to the address in “Copyright and likeness complaints” above, and privacy requests to the address in the Privacy Policy. Photos and videos are deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy (photos 30 days and videos 90 days after delivery, unless you delete them sooner).
